Is Exposure To Butoxyethanol, Phthalates And Parabens Harmful While Having Parkinson's Disease?

Question: I have recently moved from my parents house to an apartment. As part of my exercise routine I like to do animal agility drills. This is a form of exercise where you crawl in the floor mimicking animal movement e.g bear, lizard etc. I wonder whether chemicals you use to mob the floor (the floor is marble) are dangerous to come in contact with you and in the future cause Parkinson disease als ettc, I got this thought because i read that chemicals that used in grass cause many soccer players to get different diseases like the one mentioned above.
Thank you for your time.

Brief Answer:
No real risk expected but care needs to be taken.

Detailed Answer:
ello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

Main ingredients of floor cleaners are:
1)Butoxy ethanol
2)Pthalates.
3)Paraben.

These are very toxic chemicals if they enter your body in high quantity, but in lower quantity they are safer, that is why they are present in hand and body wash too. The situation you have mentioned is very common in gyms too, where people would be in contact with floor doing different exercises, we advise a few things to avoid any chemical toxicity.

1) Using a very soft carpet or sheet.
2) wearing a special outfit which is made up of barrier material like that of wind breakers.
3) Always take shower after the work out and crawling exercises you do, rinse your body with ample water and soap.

In low quantities , no big damage is expected like parkinsonism etc but yes they have long time side effects thats why even footballers are asked to take good care in training sessions and take immediate shower after training in the field. You shouldnt be over anxious just be careful specially when you have recently mopped the floor with chemical.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.
