Is Adult Bed Wetting More Of A Symptom Of Something Else Rather Than Just Adult Bed Wetting?
Question: If adult bed wetting comes on suddenly nightly, is it more of a symptom of something else rather than just adult bed wetting? Other symptoms include being very thirsty. Is there any over the counter medication that can be tried until he can get an appointment with the urologist?

The bed wetting in adults can be due to one of the following few factors
1) Over Active Bladder
2) Retention with over flow of bladder
3) Bladder Outlet obstruction
4) Neurogenic Bladder
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Urodynamic study of bladder
4)Blood tests to rule out Diabetes
There are no over the counter drugs that can resolve the issue .
