Question: Is Doxycycline Hyclate 50mg tablets used to treat blepharitis?

I have submitted an image showing the other medications I currently take, along withe the three newly prescribed eye-related Rx mentioned in the original report to you.

Yes, Doxcicycline 50mg can be used in treatment of Blephraritis.

Blepharitis is most commonly caused due to staphylococcal infection. Doxicycline is very active against Staphylococcal infection hence, a drug of choice.

Yes, Doxicycline is known to cause nausea. Taking antacids would surely alleviate the side effect. If the medication is causeing more discomfort you can stop it by talking to your treating doctor. The effect of it over eythromycin opthalmic ointment is trivial.
