Brief Answer:
Blood pressure 135/ 85 mm Hg is acceptable and in normal limits

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Blood pressure is the pressure exerted by the flowing blood on the walls of the arteries.

2. In an adult a blood pressure of more than 140/ 90 mm Hg is considered high. If your blood pressure is 135/ 85 mm Hg then it is acceptable.

3. Blood pressure should be recorded after 30 minutes of rest. I hope your blood pressure recorded is at rest.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements. Blood pressure is ideally recorded for 3 consecutive days after 30 minutes of rest, at the same time of the day and using the same instrument. If the blood pressure recorded is persistently above 140/ 90 mm Hg then it is hypertension.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
