Question: I'm a public safety worker. I was searching a bag the night before last, and poked myself on something. I'm not sure what it was but there was an uncapped needle in the bag I found a little later. It was empty. I was wearing thick rubber gloves at the time (not the super thin stuff they use at hospitals - the ones with the long cuffs and the grips). I looked at the area of the poke and saw no blood. I even squeezed it. Still no blood. So I'm not even sure if I was stuck or not. I know literally nothing about who owned the bag or the needle. Not even a name. Should I be worried? Is there something I should do? I've been immunized for everything (Hep B Hep A etc) you can be immunized against through work. I know the odds of actually catching something even through a confirmed stick on bare skin are tiny, but I wanted to talk to a doctor privately for peace of mind.
