I'm A 51 Yr Old Female. I Had An Endometrial

Question: I'm a 51 yr old female. I had an endometrial ablation in January 2014. I still have very light periods that last a few days every other month. I went for an ultrasound , because I have several fibroids in August 2017. Fibroids everywhere and my endometrial stripe was 3mm. Had a biopsy and it was negative. I had another ultrasound in January 2018 , still fibroids and endometrial stripe was 6mm. The last ultrasound was May 2018 and still fibroids , bigger and now calcified. the endometrial stripe is 18mm. I went in with pelvic pain Thursday, March 21,2019 and was showed for the first time this report. The doctor has ordered another ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2019. I am very concerned, not because they waited a year to tell me there may be an issue, but also what the issue of my endometrial lining has thickened so much. Can you please explain to me what this could mean?

Brief Answer:
Endometrial biopsy should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen all the attached reports. The fibroids in the uterus that you have are calcified and are suggestive of a degenerative change. So, these are not worrisome.
The thickening of endometrium to 18mm after an endometrial ablation is worrisome and you should go for an endometrial biopsy. This thickening of endometrium can be related to hormonal changes or endometrial abnormality. In case the endometrial biopsy is normal then you need not worry.
I hope this answers your query.
