I Was On Here Almost A Week Ago And Was

Question: I was on here almost a week ago and was told by a doctor that my symptoms were more than likely due to gastroenteritis, however, my mid to lower back has had an ongoing dull ache since probably last Wednesday. I thought i had simply strained a muscle in my back, but after trying an icy hot patch, using my heated massage pad, stretching and even taking a muscle relaxer, the pain is still there. I have also noticed ive been somewhat constipated/having a hard time trying to make a bowel movement. This morning I used the restroom and had a bowel movement and noticed there were small splashes of blood in the bowl. It was not dark red, but a bright red. I just want to be sure that my back is indeed a muscle strain and not somehow related to what I have going on in regards to my constipation and irregular bowel movements. I have also been taking a probiotic since last Sunday. I took a Flexorall twice in the past 4 days.

I forgot to mention that the dull ache in my back is isolated only on the mid-lower LEFT side.

As per your description, pain in the back looks like Musculoskeletal in nature.I prescribe Skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside to my patients with Musculoskeletal pain.
Bleeding per rectum can be due to Haemorrhoids, Polyp, any growth in Rectum or Anal canal etc.I prefer a Colonoscopy to Know the correct cause. Most probably it may be due to Haemorrhoids.
