Question: I took ear drops and when the ear drops were put in I felt like I was diving under what we now, I can hear liquid moving about but it won’t come out.

The symptoms perceived by you could be due to the softened ear wax blocking the canal.

I would suggest you to continue using the same ear wax solvents. You need to void water into the ear and ear probing.

If the symptoms do not improve in a couple of days, then, you need consult your doctor for the ear cleaning.

My apologies, I was prescribed the ear drops by a doctor however, the doctor doesn’t speak English and I do not speak Japanese. I went to the doctor about pressure in my ear and he prescribed me lomefloxacin hydrochloride ear drops. When I used the ears drops I felt a weird sensation as jumping into the deep end of the pool, after 5 minutes I tilted my head cleared the liquid, I felt as liquid was trapped so I shook my head and the liquid came out and I could hear properly. However this other sensation was left and when I move forward or bend over it feels like I can hear liquid moving inside my head. I’ve tried every method I could try in order to relieve this.

1. The sensation of fluid trapped in the ear is due to the remnants of wax after it got dissolved when the drops was used.

2. As I mentioned in my earlier response, you can either get the ear wash done or use the wax solvents. The latter would further soften the wax and help in easy clearing of the same. Ear wash would give you immediate relief.

3. Finally, using Qtips at this stage would be quite harmful.
