I Stopped Taking Lexapro 14 Days Ago. The Only Bad

Question: I stopped taking Lexapro 14 days ago. The only bad effect has been lack of sleep. I'm due for my annual physical next week. Prior medications for over 20 years have been Zoloft.

I was advised by my doctor to stop taking Lipitor about six months ago. My cholesterol will probably be sky high and blood work scheduled this week will give me an accurate reading.

Female, aged 73.

Brief Answer:
Wait until blood work is up...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand you are worried about the test results. But I am happy that you feel very well despite off lexapro. That is a very, very happy news to me too.

As far as blood test results are concerned, yes it may be deranged. But it can be managed with life style changes as well as diet modifications. Medications can be restarted if necessary to control high lipids.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
