I Recently Have Developed Pain To My Left Testicle. I

default

Question: I recently have developed pain to my left testicle. I am a 33 Y/O male. I have been married for three years and she is the only woman that I have slept with in four. The testicle feels the same as the right. However, there is a dull, aching pain that seems to extend to my abdomen. The left testicle feels heavier than the right (as silly as that may sound). Is this something that I should see a Urologist for? My concern is possible testicular cancer. I did smoke cigarettes in the past (for about 7 years). I also had a hypospadia surgery when very young and I have had UTIs years ago. I have not had a UTI for over 10 years though.

Brief Answer:
It can be orchiepidydimitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think , most probably, you may be suffering from orchiepidydimitis inflammation, infection of testicle and epidydimitimus, curved structure in back of the testicles.
I don't think this is related to testicular cancer also taking count of your young age and lack of other symptoms such blood in urine and changes in skin of testicle.
You may need to do an urine analysis and uroculture first.
Also do a testicles ultrasound.
If the diagnosis of orchiepidydimitis is confirmed by uroculture and ultrasound the treatment consists of antibiotics and doxocycline is preferable.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
