How Can Severe Pain To My Lower Back And Right Big Toe Along With Ulcers In The Mouth Be Treated?

default
Posted on Fri, 9 Apr 2021
Question: I have severe pain to my lower back and my right foot, mostly my big toe, and now small ulcers in my mouth. I see a pain specialist and have a spinal cord stimulator that offers little relief right now. 10 years ago i was diagnosed with parvo b-19. At that time i was working in a small hospital in the out patient surgery where we treated several children with dental problems. I was hospitalized with meningitis, high temp, and pain. But this pain continually gets worse. Just recently saw ortho surgeon, he explained nothing could be done. I have gained 60 pounds also, probably due to all meds i take. If you have any ideas it would help. I am 58 years old and miserable. Thanks so much for listening!

Brief Answer:
Get MRI of lumbar spine region and get an appointment of Neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Back pain with foot pain most likely occurs with nerve root compression and needs to be evaluated by imaging spinal lumbar region.
Another possibility may be fibromyalgia if imaging is normal.

I recommend MRI of lumbar spine region and visit to an Neurologist.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Can't do MRI due to stimulator. However, i did a CT Myelogram and went to a Neurologist. He did not see anything that could be fixed. Advised me to ask my pain specialist about a rhizotomy ablation.
