Question: I have recently had high mcv 106 and high mch at 35. Due to alcohol of course. I have cut back and then heavily drank for a few days. I have been tapering off due to withdrawal symptoms. The last few days my heart rate has been 100 to 130. Im guessing due to my red blood cells. Abstaining from alcohol, will that normalize? My heart rate is usually 68 to 88. I have a dr appt in 2 days but thinking i should go to the er?

Brief Answer:
Hello. It is due to withdrawal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. So high mcv rbc wont cause any tachycardia. High pulse rate is likely due to withdrawl symptoms. You can go to er as they will provide you with some treatment which can calm down your symptoms and you will feel better.
Thanks and regards
