Question: I have high blood pressure. I wake up and use the restroom, and I start bleedi g from my left nostril only. I am also on my period.

As per your history Nosebleeds may occur due to hypertension, sometimes.

Let me know if your blood pressure is under control or not, have headache, breathing difficulty, dizziness.

Nosebleeds can have causes that aren't due to underlying disease. For example nasal dryness, nose picking or injury.

I would advise you to consult with your physician for detailed medical examination, and may require ENT specialist.

Till then keep monitoring your blood pressure, be calm, keep yourself hydrated. Sit straight, maintain upright position, apply ice pack on nose.

No headaches, dizziness or anything, the bleeding stopped after 20 minutes or so. I did have tingling on the tip of my tongue, that has stopped. Feel fi e now. Will take your advice.

Still I would suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for detailed examination. He may procure/advise complete hemogram and other relevant investigations, blood pressure monitoring.

You can apply nasal saline drops locally and kindly do all measures as suggested earlier.
