Question: I have groin pain oab and bowel irregularity. my primary is treating the symptoms. my orthopedist said to lose weight and urologist and gi doctot cant find anything. in the past 3 years ive had a hysterectomy, and a cervical and lumbar fusions. my urologist found an infection that's all. do you have any idea whats causing all this discomfort and what should I do next as this is starting to get me down.

Hi Jewelectibles,

From what you describe, I would suspect either abdominal adhesions after your previous surgery or a groin hernia.

If you have not had any radiological investigations, I recommend an ultrasound with Valsalva's manoeuvre, or a CT scan when you feel the pain.

Alternatively, a colonoscopy could reveal any other pathologies or inflammatory bowel condition.
