I Have Got Blood In My Semen And I Was
Question: I have got blood in my semen and I was worried about that. May I know what could be the possible reason.

Thanks for query .
Based on the fact that you have been passing blood in semen (Hematospermia) that you have is most likely to be due to infection of either seminal Vesicle (Seminal Vesiculitis) or of Prostate (Prostatitis).
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Semen Examination and Semen Culture
3) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
4) Serum PSA.
5) MRI of pelvis (If required).
Start taking antibiotic like combination of Sulphamethaxazole and Trimethoprim (Bactrim D S) along with Nitrofurantoin twice daily .
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
Ensure to avoid sexual intercourse till it gets cured completely.
