Brief Answer:
A biopsy is required.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through the query.
The lesion looks like a polyp on the later aspect of tongue. However possibility of an oral cancer must be ruled out as it can present with similar picture. However oral cancer is unlikely because your age is on the lower side and oral cancer is almost always associated with pan chewing.
A biopsy from the lesion is required to confirm the diagnosis.
Nothing much to worry as it can be done under local anaesthesia as a day care procedure.
Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you regarding biopsy.
Thanks
