Question: I have an elevated sed rate and elevated s reative protein with a negative ANA. My joints are very painful especially my shoulders and my hips. My dr thinks its drug induced myopathy from my abilify. I'm not so sure. I've been on the medication for 6 years. Looking for a second opinion.

Brief Answer:
Consider polymyalgia

Detailed Answer:
hi
there is an inflammatory disorder called polymyalgia rheumatica.
this causes inflammatory pain in the shoulder s and hip girdle.
generally it is associated with a high crp and esr.
there may be good relief with steroid.
so that is a possibility in your case.
however as you are stating that there is no relief with NSAIDs, so other causes like fibromyalgia need to be considered especially if your symptoms are associated with unrefreshing sleep and fatigue.
in such a case medication like pregabalin or gabapentin helps.
regards
