Question: I have GPA in unmedicated remission. Diagnosed in early 2017, no treatment needed since 2018. I did have major lung involvement that caused some scarring (ground glass) at diagnosis. I’d now like to explore scuba diving, which obviously requires strong lungs and ability to oxygenate. Is there a reason I should not pursue this activity? Will need doctor clearance.

Brief Answer:
yes you seem to be doing fine

Detailed Answer:
hello,
ok, as you say you are in remission there is no reason to hold you back.
However it would be best to be sure about remission by checking inflammatory markers esr, crp and lung function by a pulmonary function test.
if not done already should be carried out for clearance.
