I Had A Tummy Tuck XXXXXXX 27th. Below My Incision

Question: I had a tummy tuck XXXXXXX 27th. Below my incision line there is a tender spot the size of a pea. It burns and is very sore and sticks out when I stand or sit up straight. When I bend over to try and see it I cant feel it any longer. My plastic surgeon can not see me until Sept 27. Should I be worried? Could this be a stitch and could a stitch come out of the skin where there is no incision? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Possible

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Tender spot below incision line after tummy tuck that is burning and is sore, sticking out on standing up or sitting up straight can be due to the following reasons:
Stitch abscess as you have mentioned. Stitch can come out of skin where there is no incision if the stitch was put in during surgery say for strengthening the tissues. It can be away from the skin incision line.
Small hernia is a possibility as this is reducible as well as expansible.

I think this is a point to worry about and hence it would be better to be seen by your Doctor or at ER whichever is the system at your place.

You may post focused and clear photos as these sometimes help in proper diagnosis.

I hope this answer helps you.
