Question: I am a 42 y.o. female that has experienced right leg pain over the last 7 days. Started with right hip achiness & now pain starts at front of hip, radiates down over top of thigh to over knee. Most painful when standing up & taking first step. Hip & leg are not painful to touch, no visible redness or swelling.

Brief Answer:
Seems like radicular pain...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You seem to be suffering from radiating pain, the pain that radiates from the hip to the leg. This pain could be a radicular pain arising from spinal root compression. It needs to be evaluated further.

In my opinion, you should visit a doctor and get MRI scans of the back done. The test will be ordered after careful clinical examination of the affected limb. Further treatment is based on scan reports.

Until, then you can take over the counter pain killer such as Ibuprofen 400mg twice daily after food.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
