Question: I am 79 yrs old and have not had relations for over 10 years. During this past month I have been severely bothered by a series of blister-like lesions around the major and minor labia. Also in the crease in the leg area and around the anal area. These lesions start out as a sore (redness) and rapidly develop a white center filled with pus. I have been breaking the lesions and applying polycream but still they keep coming. i am getting desperate, but I hate to have to go to a dr. with this.. Please help or advise.

Brief Answer:
Folliculitis, oral & topical antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and it seems to be folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles,
I would recommend you to take a course of oral and topical antibiotics.
I would recommend you to take tablet cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days and apply neosporin ointment or fusidic acid cream on the affected areas twice daily for 5-7 days.
These medicines should resolve the lesions.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
