Question: I am 64 years married female with no history of BP. I am on the border line with my diabetes. I am basically a non veg eating only fish and eggs. In Nov 2022 while on flight of 4 hours from XXXXXXX to Kuwait, after eating lentils and beans I developed pain in the middle of my chest. After landing I drove to the clinic and did my ECG and the blood test associated with heart. All was clear.
I do still experience chest pain sometimes in the middle of the chest, sometimes on the left side and each time the ECG was done, it is clear.
Doctors say it could be due to acidity and due to stress and that I should walk for at least 30 minutes every day. I am on Ganaton 50 mg twice a day.
I have also done the breath test to determine if I have bacteria which is clear.
The doctor says it is non cardiac.

Hello!

Welcome to - Ask a Doctor - service!

I understand your concern and would like to explain that further testing would be necessary to clarify the exact cause of your chest pain.

Exercise cardiac stress testing and if possible cardiac magnetic resonance would help to exclude/confirm any possible cardiac ischemia issues.

In addition, extracardiac findings should be sought as well; fibrogastroscopy would help to precisely inspect digestive mucosa and properly direct therapy.

You should discuss with your attending physician on the above mentioned issues!

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Kind regards,
