Brief Answer:
Upload an image for review!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank so much for this query.

I will like to obtain and image for review. This way, I can provide a personalized and helpful response. There are several different causes of read eye and the management depends on what the specific diagnosis is.. Reviewing an image of the eye would be very helpful in this regard.

Warm compresses and flushing are general measures, which may be sufficient unless there is an ongoing infection. I will encourage you to continue with them while you get 2/3 images and upload for review.

Look forward hearing from you!

Brief Answer:
In most cases no!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Antibiotics are not needed in most cases. I will recommend you continue with same measures and more so because the eye is getting better. Like I mentioned, only few cases of eye infections are caused by bacterial requiring antibiotics.

Keep me posted. Never hesitate sending a message to YYYY@YYYY for help.

I wish you well, until next..
