Question: Hi I have met with an accident on Sep 17 2023. From that night I got severe neck pain and back pain . The doctor took some X-ray and prescribed physiotherapy I got little better but not completely alright . I then went for another orthopedic doctor who suggested for MRI . When I took MRI the doctor said C5-C6 there is a disc bulge 2mm and disc osteophyte complex in C6-C7 2.9 mm . I am ok with those . The only thing which is concerning me is, in MRI they have mentioned that there is a small rounded abnormal signal intensity lesion in C3 vertebral body and the doctor suggested MRI with contrast for characterization and he said since I am healthy with 215 LB there won't be anything serious and not to worry. the lesion is 10.7 x 10.7 x 10.8 mm, I am worrying whether it could be a cancerous tumor . Can you please guide me with the symptoms I am restless and with too much stress right from I saw the MRI

Brief Answer:
Cervical Vertebral opacity.

Detailed Answer:
Dear.
A small signal intensity in the cervical region C3 Vertebral detected by MRI does not seem to be of any concern. Mild signal intensity changes in various regions of the body can be normally detected if whole body is scanned.
Since a suspicion has aroused in you, you can remain on follow up by repeating MRI after 6 months and see any changes.
If any other associated complaints are there then we need detailed investigations otherwise follow the advice of your treating doctor and enjoy your life.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Cervical abbrration

Detailed Answer:
Thank you dear Logbaran
I have gone through the report.
These are mild anatomical abbreations which you find in many CT Scans of varied people and are of least concern . Many times they are incidental findings when examination for something else is made. So follow the advice of your regular doctor.
Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Cervical abbreation

Detailed Answer:
Dear Logbaran,
Please be assured that these anomalies are very common found incidentally. When they are really trouble making we have to be concerned. The ridging you are describing need to be corrected by guided positioning and exercises may be physiotherapy as well
. Yes very untoward change if observed or detected by your regular doctor will need serious attention.
Best wishes.
