Question: After breast augmentation how tight should surgical bra be?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Rishi (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
It should be slightly tight to hold properly.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
After surgical breast augmentation the support should be tight enough to not let the breasts sag. But not too tight to indent on to the breast skin or the surgical scars. This can lead to remodelling unfavourably.
Therefore just wear tight enough bra to not let the breasts sag or move down. You should be sure that the bra is not too tight to cause discomfort or indent into your breast skin at any place.
Take care and do let me know if there are other queries on this issue.

Answered by Dr. Rishi (3 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
No, There is very little chance of major damage. Please change it soon.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It will not cause major damage if it is for a day or two.
Please change the undergarment to suit the fitting and it should be just comfortable.
We dont expect any permanent damage but soon after surgery you should avoid wearing too tight an under garment.
Do not worry.
Take care and I would be happy to help you if there are any other concerns.
