Brief Answer:
As detailed.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

If the scald/burns happened just now: keep the affected part under running tap water to wash off the heat say for half an hour.
Elevate the affected hand above heart level by supporting or hanging in lying down position.
Give an analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen if it suits him.
Apply Liquid Povidone Iodine locally.
Do not open the blisters if erupted.

Post clear and focused photos.
I hope this answers your query.

It now has a big blister, do we wait for blister to burst, then treat with aloe vera

Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Blister is made by the dead skin but acts as a natural dressing while there is an internal healing.
Apply Liquid Povidone Iodine only as this kills all the bacteria and does not allow infection. The break in blister can occur on its own and then gives a way to infection of the wound. Aloe Vera may not work during this stage.
Please post clear and focused photos. You can attach with this query.
Watch for edema, pain, redness, fever; movements of fingers and wrist and any other symptoms.

I hope this answers your query. Feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
