Question: How much soy should a woman of my age have in my diet? I am 50 and I love tofu but I heard that soy can produce hormones that can lead to breast cancer.

There is no evidence that using soya products can lead to breast cancer.
Some studies say that soy has antioxidant effects and can increase life expectancy in persons which are diagnosed with breast cancer and can have better prognosis. Also the breast cancer probability is lower in persons which use soy then persons which don't use it.
Some studies say that the amount that can be used in order to be more beneficial then harmful is
71mg of soy protein and about tofu you prefer the amount of soy advised is 56 mg.
