How Much Magnesium Is Advisable For An Elderly Patient With Alzheimer's Disease?

Question: I am trying to figure out how much Magnesium my 82 old mother with Alzheimers needs to take. Can not get her into a new Neurogolist to hopefully have blood test done until September. I read that Magnesium Threonate is the best, but not sure how much. Can you help with this?
