How Long Should Amaryl Be Taken For Diabetes?

Question: Hi Doctor ,
my mother 66 year old is having diabetes and is taking amaryl 1 mg twice. her sugar last week was 200 mg fasting due to some family functions but now reduced to 93 mg.
She has not consuled any doctor since last one year and is taking this medicine as prescribed an year back. also one medicine she takes for blood pressure.
please advise if ok to continue or Should i get some diagnostic test done if you prescribe
PPBS is 243 mg . what should we do now

I would need you to check sugars as follows:

FBS
2 HOURS AFTER BREAKFAST
Pre Lunch BS
2 HOURS AFTER LUNCH,
Pre Dinner B'S
2 HOURSAFTER DINNER.

Continue the medicines as such for now.
Her medicines may need an increment.
Also, she needs to control the diet strictly .
It's quite possible that her diet is too much or too low.
If all sugars except fasting are raised , an extra medicine may be needed.
