How Long Does Gonorrhea Take To Cure Inspite Of Being On Treatment?

Posted on Wed, 25 Mar 2015
Question: I contracted gonorrhea and was promptly treated and symptoms resolved quickly after the shot. My medical provider told me to wait 5 days before having sex again. At 6 days I had unprotected sex. I am now reading online that the CDC recommendations are to wait 7 days. Should this be a concern for my partner?
