Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Most men ejaculate in 3-5 minutes. The duration of sexual activity is prolonged through foreplay and stop/start or squeeze technique. I suggest patients who complain of premature ejaculation to involve in good foreplay and try stop/start technique or squeeze technique. It should improve the sexual activity.

In addition to these, I also suggest the following:
1. At first, talk to your partner. It's easier to solve this problem together along with your partner than you alone.
2. Try desensitizing. Some of the condoms come smeared with desensitizing solutions. It delays ejaculation. Similarly there are creams and sprays that desensitize and delays ejaculation. You may try any of these and see if it helps.
3. If none work, you can consider medications such as paroxetine or buspirone. A sexologist or psychiatrist can prescribe it to you.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
