default
Posted on Wed, 31 May 2017
Question: On march 18th my boyfriend drilled through his hand with a power drill. He doesnt have insurance so we wrapped his wound in a few steri strips and this is what it looks like today. The first image is from Day 1 and the second image is from today. It looks like skin necrosis. Should he be worried?
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Visit doctor for debridment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

In my opinion his wound needs debridment, so you must visit doctor, who will do debridement and give him appropriate antibiotics, otherwise wound will become infected more.

Doctor will also do antiseptic dressing periodically as required.

Such wounds should not be managed by patients, but by doctor.

I hope you got the point.

Thanks,
