Question: Hi sir,
I am having small lump on right hand close to the wrist. If i press on it for some time, i am getting little bit of pain.
when i googled it, i felt it is similar to ganglion cyst or Carpal Boss.
Just i want to know will it cause any problem in future or can i ignore it ?

Brief Answer:
GANGLION CYST

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the query on this platform.
I have gone through your medical history and the attached photographs.

It does seem to be a ganglion (Collection of oily synovial fluid within a encapsulated cyst)

Most ganglions are usually harmless and benign unless they become very large in size.If you have very minimal pain, you can definitely ignore it,provided its size does not increase more.It won't lead to any complication in future.

Do not lift anything heavy.Apply compression wrist bandage during the daytime.

Aspiration and injection of steroid injection is the best possible remedy for it.Surgery usually leads to recurrence and should be avoided.

I hope the answer was useful to you.

Feel free to ask me any doubts that you may have.

Thank you.
Best wishes.
