Question: HiWe have been planning for a baby for the last 3-4 months, so I and my wife (Namrata) went to Gynec for consultation and we got the test reports done as told by her, I got a report for Simmons and my wife XXXXXXX got different reports. After the reports have been done, the doctor has asked to try IUI(Intrauterine insemination) for four months and we want to try normal pregnancy, so should we do IUI or should we try for normal pregnancy We need your advice and some guidance on how we should plan.Also, the Doctor has given Medicine to usFor My Wife- Myo-Inositol, N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine, Biotin, Lycopene, Vitamin D, Chromium with Folic Acid Chewable Tablets - 60 No.- Folic Acid - 30 No.For Me- Ubiquinol Acetate, L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, Astaxanthin, Lycopene with Zinc Tablets - 30 No.- Clomiphene Citrate Tablets I.P. 25mg - 30 No.

You have not shared the scan and semen analysis reports.
AMH is low but that need to be confirmed with follicular study.
Is your wife having PCOS ?.The
Medicines are prescribed for that.
You may continue your medications except clomiphene.

Can you suggest which procedure, we need to do IUI or do we need to directly go with IVF?

If we need to go with IUI, then how many cycles do we need?

Hi
I have seen all your reports.
Hope your wife's periods are regular.
Considering the decreased motility of sperm , age of your wife and duration of married life ( more than 4 yrs ?) it may be wise to start with IUI after tubal patency test .
She will need medication for ovulation , as her AMH is low.
If she is ovulating , IUI can be repeated 3 to 4 times .
If there is no ovulation with follicular study. She may need Injections for ovulation followed by IVF.
