Hi, My Wife Is In Her Second Trimester (24 Weeks)

Question: Hi, my wife is in her second trimester (24 weeks) and is having excessive issues with her indegestion. She is constantly burping and burping up food after she eats. Always bloated and breathless after eating.
She thinks she has a hiatal hernia, but we assume she cannot get that checked while pregnant.

She is taking Zantec every day and lots of tums tablets to help.

Her OBGYN says it’s okay for her to take Omeprazole, especially since she is in her second trimester, but my wife’s first OBGYN had hesitations against it (we moved out of state).

Is it safe to take this medication?
