Brief Answer:
No I never said it's definitely cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing back.

The doctor has no option to close a query. Probably it was automated by the app.

If you read my responses from the beginning, you will certainly note that I never said it's definitely cancer. It's never possible by just looking at a picture. But there is a clear difference in depth between the recent image and the previous ones. If it's taken at the same time then it may be just due to angle and lighting. You did mention that it's a recent image.

Anyway, any persistent ulcer or punched out hole needs biopsy. In the very first response, I did mention that if it persists for more than two weeks from the onset, it would need biopsy. In my last response I also said that the same.

Biopsy not only rules out cancer but can confirm the exact reason too, so that accurate treatment can be done. Oncosurgeon consult can help a lot to ascertain the need for biopsy. An oral surgeon can also do that.

Hope this helps.
Regards

Don't worry, as he feels it's not cancer, you are safe.
Biopsy will reassure us a lot but I think you are fine.
