Hi Doctor, I Had Unprotected Sex With Sex Worker Before

Question: Hi doctor, I had unprotected sex with sex worker before 2 years and 6 months before. After that I taken lot of hiv duo tests like 3,6,9 and 1.5years later and all are negative and also hiv rna rt pcr 28 days after exposure. Please advise me, I need to take any more test to confirm my status. Is there any late seroconversion possible doctor?. Please advise doctor

Hi,

Late seroconversion is noted theoretically. But in practical cases, I haven't seen late seroconversion for the last 15 years. So if all the test after 1.5 years returned negative results, then you need not be worried about seroconversion and HIV infection.
