Question: Hi, I recently had a health checkup done at the office and I see that the blood sugar and cholesterol levels are high in the readings provided. I did not fast before the blood was drawn, in fact, I had a heavy breakfast an hr before I went for the routine checkup.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your sugar levels are reflective of post-prandial state. You donot have diabetes. Also HBA1C is normal.

Lipid profile needs re-evaluation after one month of reducing fat intake. Reduce the quantities of milk products like gee, butter, sweets, etc. Lipid profile should be done after 8 hrs of fasting.

Calcium is only borderline. Nothing to worry.
