How Should Recurrent Episodes Of Intense Fatigue Be Treated?

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Apr 2021
Question: Hi I am a 42 year old female who has been going through a period of intense fatigue over the course of three weeks. I have had blood work completed in April which was fine and have recently had a full cardiac work up which showed a healthy heart. Through out the years I have gone through periods of intense fatigue which no cause could be found. I do suffer from an anxiety disorder could there be a link.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to anxiety.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A feeling of intense fatigue with all normal blood work and no detectable cause can be related to stress and anxiety. There can be a psychological cause of fatigue. Proper rest, a healthy diet, plenty of electrolyte rich fluids and relaxation exercises like deep breathing exercises can help.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Brahmi supplements can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You can consider drinking some immune boost type of tea such as Echinacea which is readily available at most supermarkets. Taking herbal products like brahmi and ashwagandha supplements will also help.
If the results of blood work in April was normal then there is no need to repeat the work now.
Hope my answer is helpful.
