Brief Answer:
Could be acidity

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think this maybe gastritis due to acidity. However you have not mentioned any burning sensation. She can try Tab Rantac 150 mg half hour before dinner for 3 days. If it gets better with this then it confirms acidity. She will need to take dietary precautions like avoid spicy food, have meals at same time everyday, drink water with low TDS, have more of fruits, salad, milk can neutralize acid, gelusil can neutralise acid after each meal, eat less than stomach can take, avoid raw foods.
If rantac doesnot clear symptoms then we need to go for blood tests like complete blood count and typhidot to check for any infection and take antibiotics accordingly. Other tests like ultrasound abdomen or stool tests maybe required if blood test doesnot show anything.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your reply.

She doesn't have any burning sensation but, her gall bladder was removed 4 years back due to Gall stones.

Also, we have Rantac syrup at home (75mg 5ml). Can it be taken instead of tablet? If yes, please suggest the dosage for the same. Thanks.
