Brief Answer:
Might be Gum inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for the query.

Well gum bleeding while brushing teeth can be due to infection in the gums causing inflammation and bleeding.

Also a hard toothbrush can be a cause.

Please provide following details so that I can advise you better.

-Is there any pain in gums?

-Is there any sensitivity to hot or cold?

- Are any of her teeth feeling loose?

-Did she recently changed toothbrush?

-Is she on any medication or has any medical problems?

Please let me know so that I can advise you better..

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Can be Gum infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi..

It can be Gum infection and nothing serious.

You should once consult a Dentist and get cleaning of teeth known as Scaling done followed by a course of antibiotics for 5 days.

Also massaging the gums with Chlorohexidine gel, doing antiseptic mouthwash gargles and warm saline gargles can help.

Take a Vitamin C candy daily.

Use a soft toothbrush.

Hope this helps..

Regards.
