Question: Hi Doctor, My name is Amit and I am 33 years old. Two days ago, out of nowhere, I found my thumb to be swollen. Initially, it wasn't hurting. But since last 24 hours, I cannot even move my hand. It is swollen and pains so much that I am writing to you at 2 in the night. I can't sleep due to pain. It feels as if my hand has been slashed and cut. Please suggest what to do. Should I take any pain killers or go to a doctor? If I should go to a doctor, which specialist should I visit?
