Question: Hello hope for some insite I am peri menopausal and since my gums have become irritated easily I have been doing salt and water and recently had a cleaning 2 weeks ago today I used And this afternoon I noticed my tongue feels like I ate to much salt in a certain area .. I looked and it looks like it has little crack in that one area … should I continue to do salt ans water ans use my waterpik as I see my dentist on Thursday

Well, as per your explanation it looks like inflammation of tongue.
Please clear a clear picture and upload so that I can advise you better.
-Also please let me know that did you eat something very hot or sour or anything that was too crispy or hard?
-Did you also feel like having dryness in mouth?
-Do you have any known allergies?
-How many times a day do you do salt water rinses?
-Did you vigorously clean you tongue recently?

Hello I had eaten hard granola ans walnuts and some chips I also rinsed with peridex . Today it is a bit better
No dry mouth
Salt water rinse once a day sometime 2
I do have food intolerances but I didn’t eat anything that I don’t usually eat … I have uploaded a picture of my tongue should I keep rinsing with salt ans water ans using water pic as well as using the peridex thanks

I have viewed the image and it is showing cracked surface in the centre and also tongue looks white, but I am not sure about whiteness as picture is not clear.

If the tongue is white as it is looking can you please tell that is the coating over the tongue scrapable?
Also please upload a clear picture and light for better understanding, this is because if there is white scrapable coating along with the discomfort that you explained then it can be suggestive of yeast overgrowth.

So please send me a clear picture and also write down if the white layer is scrapable.
