Hello. Over The Weekend, I Had Chest Pain That Lasted

Question: Hello. Over the weekend, I had chest pain that lasted all day that radiated down my arm. A prior hospital admission a few months ago to a hospital revealed no obstruction, but they were unable to rule out an electrical problem. I have a portable ECG/EKG device but was unable to use it yesterday. However, a few weeks ago registered an unusual arrhythmia. While it's done that in the past, it's never been like this. Is it possible to send a pdf for you to review and advise?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I reviewed carefully your ECG report and would explain that it seems to be a normal ECG pattern, full with movement artifacts.

So, I don't think that this is arrhythmia, as it is really chaotic and not specific of any type of cardiac arrhythmia.

Could you please upload any other ECG reports? I would be glad to review all of them for a second opinion.

Regarding the pain on the chest, radiating on the arm, I would also recommend considering a possible pinched nerve. For this reason, it would be necessary performing a cervico-toracic spine X ray study or a spine MRI. Sometimes, bulging discs in the vertebral column, may mimic this clinical situation.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
