Question: Hello,

I was wondering what could cause nearly constant muscle twitching in a localized spot (the back of my left tricep)? It isn't painful in any way but it's been nearly constant for days now and I wondering if this is something to worry about.

Thank you,

Brief Answer:
could be nerv ending irritation , or electrolyte imbalance.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Nearly constant muscle twitching in any localised area could generally be due to irritation of nerve endings . It may be precipitated by various factors- like Nerve pressure, lack of certain vitamins like Vit B12, or electrolyte imbalance.
As long as there is no incapacitation on account of twitching , you should not worry and carry on as such.
If problem increases then you may consult any physician or orthopedic surgeon.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
