Hello, I Just Noticed A Tiny Ball/lump On My Scrotal

default

Question: Hello,

I just noticed a tiny ball/lump on my scrotal skin that%E2%80%99s painful when palpate. It%E2%80%99s nowhere near the testicle and again, it%E2%80%99s quite small. I%E2%80%99m wondering if this could be cancer even though it%E2%80%99s not on the testicle or is it likely an ingrown hair or something?

Thank you

Brief Answer:
sebaceous cyst scrotum likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* As per my surgical experience, the condition of scrotal skin lesion seems to be likely
sebaceous cyst, a benign condition and not of cancer.

Kindly provide me further details so that I can answer your query completely.

1. Details of skin changes in terms of texture and else.
2. Any associated discharge of sebum like material ?
3. If visible outside and no objection, a photo picture of the same would help better to
understand the issue.

Awaiting for your response.
Regards.

There haven%E2%80%99t been any other skin changes to the scrotum, except for the bump itself, which is just slightly red.

No drainage at all that I%E2%80%99m aware of.

Picture is attached.

Brief Answer:
minor surgery required to cure it.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the image showing the lesion.

* The lump is sebaceous cyst as per the previous discussion.
It is a soft tissue condition with sebum collection beneath the skin.

* There are no medicines to resolve the issue, but a simple OPD based procedure of
removal under local anesthesia cures it under care of expert consultant surgeon.

Wish you best recovery.
Thank you.

Hi
Welcome for follow up.

* It is absolutely not cancer at all.
