Hello. I Have Taken A 4th Generation HIV Test On
Question: Hello. I have taken a 4th generation HIV test on the 4th of March (antigens and antibodies) and the result has been negative. I have had no sexual contact with anybody since XXXXXXX 2019, but I was involved in a relationship with a HIV positive partner until the beginning of Jan’20. Should the results of the test be considered reliable? I have taken the test 2 months after the break up. Should this be considered reliable?
Moreover, I have tested multiple times since August 2019 and the results were negative (including an RNA test). No sexual intercourse of any time has happened since my partner was diagnosed with the virus in August 2019 and he has started taking medication with October 2019.
