I have question about Schistosoma
1. There is publication that discus possibility of HCV transmission by Schistosoma
Screening of schistosome DNA by PCR, lead to the
detection of sequences similar to HCV. PCR products were obtained when adult worms genomic DNA were used as templates while
no PCR products were amplified from S. mansoni λZAPII cDNA library pool. The resulting PCR products were sequenced and compared
with the other closely related HCV sequence database at the website < http://hcv.lanl.gov>. Conclusions: This work demonstrates the
existence of HCV and its replication in the genomic DNA of S. mansoni. In addition, it highlights the fact that the parasite can carry the
virus genome and therefore, is considered as a nonhuman vector for the transmission of HCV infections.

I don't think that it is true - because there no science evidence - and no conclusion from World Health Organization and CDC
And in publication it is said HVC in Schistosoma vary from low as 1 % to 50% - as this number is so different it show that it is not true
Similarly, published data about HCV and schistosomiasis co infection is scanty where only 16 articles could fulfill our criteria. Prevalence rates of HCV infection with wide variations as low as 1% and as high as 50% among patients with schistosomiasis, were reported in different countries
There have been study that took samples from schistosome rectal snip and they where positive for HCV DNA - but it does not prove evidence of HCV transmission as some fragments of HCV DNA does not prove HCV transmission
ISH revealed HCV RNA in 26.3% of schistosomal ova-positive rectal snips

I dont think that Schistosoma could transmit HCV as it would be written in all literature - with lot of evidence
and in WHO and CDC would confirm that Schistosoma could transmit HCV
