Hello! I Am A 52 Year Old Female And Have

Question: Hello! I am a 52 year old female and have recently gained weight. I just noticed a semi-circular “indent” in my upper chest, below my collarbone, and am attaching an image of the same. I visit my doctor regularly and all of my bloodwork and labs are fine. Is this a normal anatomical thing or could it be caused by weight gain etc? Is it anything to be concerned about! Thank you so much!

Brief Answer:
Please refer to the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma’am

After going through the medical enquiries for you I can understand you and I would like to tell you that it doesn’t seem to be any anatomical abnormality and all other tests are also being normal.

From the image attached by you it seems like there is some extra fat deposition over the sternal area creating that depression.

As you don’t have any pain or discomfort you can safely ignore that but it’s important to keep a check on your weight so it’s advisable that you should start following healthy lifestyle routine strictly.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards
