Hello, I Am A 40 Year Old Man That Has

Question: Hello,
I am a 40 year old man that has been smoking crystal methamphetamine many times per day for about 6 years.
I am in reasonably good health except for the fact that my resting heart rate is always around 90-100 beats per minute. Can you please tell me what type of pill I can get that would slow my heart rate down a little bit. I know such pills exist. I just want to know which kind I could take to keep my heart rate a bit lower, maybe for the rest of my life.

Please recommend a pill for me. I know there are other more traditional approaches, but I cant fathom it right now. I just want to reduce my heart rate a little bit with a mild dose of some therapeutic heart medicine.

Brief Answer:
heart rate less than 100 is completely normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

First of all I like to inform you that hear rate below 100 is completely normal. The most associations related to heart health mention heart rate 60 to 100 as normal rate. Considering this fact I do not feel there should be any use of medication for this purpose as your heart rate falls between 90 to 100.

However if the heart rate is more than 100, than the beta blocker group of medications can be used. I often use propranolol for this purpose which is prescription only medication.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
